Smoked Garlic Tofu Wraps
Even though I love tofu in any form, I love finding new ways to make it that can please any palate. This Smoked Garlic Tofu is crispy, flavorful, and super quick to make. I love to eat this in a whole wheat wrap with my Sweet & Tangy Coleslaw and some extra veg. You can also throw this tofu in a salad or slice it thin and sear it to make smoked tofu steaks. Any which way you make it, I hope you’ll fall in love with tofu like I have!
Smoked Garlic Tofu Wraps
1 block extra firm tofu
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove minced garlic
½ teaspoon liquid smoke
½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
whole wheat tortillas
lettuce
- Press the block of tofu overnight. (Doing this for several hours makes the marinade soak in better!)
- The next day, whisk together the soy sauce, garlic, liquid smoke, and apple cider vinegar. Place the block of tofu in a plastic or reusable plastic bag and pour the marinade in the bag. Seal well and let marinate for at least 3 hours (longer is better if you can).
- Once it’s done marinating, slice the tofu into 1 to 2 inch cubes. Place in your air fryer or oven at 400ºF for 15 minutes until crispy.
- To assemble: In a whole wheat wrap, place lettuce, coleslaw, and top with tofu. I also like to add cilantro and hot sauce, but feel free to add whatever toppings you like best. Enjoy!
